Southside Auto Inspections
1. Nature of Inspection
All mechanical and body inspections conducted by Southside Auto Inspections are strictly visual and non-invasive in nature.
We do not dismantle, remove, disassemble or alter any vehicle components for the purpose of assessing wear, damage or internal condition.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Wheels and lug nuts
Engine, battery or component covers
Spark plugs
Air filters
Electronic components
Vehicle modifications
Interior trims or panels
Our assessment is limited to externally visible and reasonably accessible components at the time of inspection.
2. Limitations of Mobile Inspections
Southside Auto Inspections operates as a mobile service and does not have access to hoists or workshop lifting equipment.
Accordingly:
A full underbody inspection cannot be performed.
Underbody observations are limited to ground-level visibility.
Areas concealed by covers, guards, structural components or modifications may not be accessible.
All findings are limited to observable conditions on the day of inspection.
3. Diagnostic & Electronic System Limitations
Diagnostic scans are performed using professional scan tools; however:
Cleared or recently reset fault codes may not be detectable.
Intermittent faults may not present during inspection.
Warning lights that have been reset prior to inspection may not appear.
We cannot guarantee detection of previously cleared or temporarily suppressed electronic faults.
4. Hidden Defects & Fluid Conditions
We cannot detect:
Oil leaks that have been cleaned prior to inspection
Fluid contamination not externally visible
Internal mechanical damage
Defects in inaccessible areas
Conditions related to vehicle fluids not externally observable
Mechanical failures or issues that develop after the inspection are outside our control.
5. Liability
Southside Auto Inspections bears no liability or responsibility for:
Vehicle faults or damage discovered after the inspection
Cleared fault codes or warning lights that reappear
Issues concealed or not visible on the day
Mechanical failures occurring after purchase
Damage hidden within non-removable components
Our report reflects the vehicle’s condition at the time of inspection only.
We do not guarantee future performance, reliability or longevity of the vehicle.
6. Road Testing
Road tests are conducted only where:
Seller authorisation is granted
Vehicle registration is valid
Conditions are lawful and safe
If a road test cannot be completed, this will be documented in the report.
7. Travel Fees
Travel outside our standard service region may incur additional charges.
Travel fees are calculated at the time of quote and include travel to and from the inspection location.
Any applicable travel surcharge will be disclosed prior to confirmation of booking.
8. Authorisation
Prior to proceeding with any inspection, confirmation and authorisation must be obtained from the vehicle owner or seller.
Failure to secure proper authorisation may result in cancellation of the inspection.
9. Payment Terms
Full payment must be received before:
An inspection is undertaken, and/or
Any inspection report, documentation or tax invoice is released
Accepted payment methods will be outlined at the time of booking.
Southside Auto Inspections reserves the right to withhold reports until payment is confirmed.
10. Report Usage
Inspection reports are prepared solely for the client who engaged the service and are not transferable without written consent.
Reports are advisory in nature and should not be relied upon as a mechanical warranty.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By booking and engaging Southside Auto Inspections, the client acknowledges and accepts these Terms &

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Booking Confirmation
An inspection booking is confirmed once:
A time and date have been agreed, and
Any required deposit has been received (if applicable).
Cancellation Notice
We understand that circumstances change. However, inspection time is reserved exclusively for each client.
More than 24 hours’ notice:
Bookings cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled without penalty.
Less than 24 hours’ notice:
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled inspection may incur a cancellation fee.
Same-day cancellation or non-attendance:
If access to the vehicle is not available at the scheduled time, or the booking is cancelled on the day, a fee may apply to cover travel and time allocation.

It is the client’s responsibility to:
Confirm seller availability
Confirm vehicle access
Ensure the vehicle is present at the agreed location
If the inspection cannot proceed due to lack of access, this will be treated as a late cancellation.

Rescheduling requests made with sufficient notice will be accommodated subject to availability.
Southside Auto Inspections reserves the right to reschedule inspections due to:
Unsafe weather conditions
Access issues
Mechanical safety concerns
Circumstances beyond our control
Clients will be notified as soon as practicable.

Where a booking deposit is required:
Deposits may be transferable to a rescheduled booking if sufficient notice is provided.
Deposits may be forfeited in cases of late cancellation or non-attendance.

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation that cannot be excluded.
Where services are supplied to a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability for any breach of a consumer guarantee is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to:
The resupply of the services, or
The payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Southside Auto Inspections excludes all other liability for indirect, consequential or incidental loss arising from the use of our services
